Prayer Ministry

What does prayer mean to you? Is it a means to an end where we try to appease God to get what we want, a formality, a religious checkout, tradition, a way to avoid punishment or maybe a good luck charm?
MyGeneration Church is attempting to change those misconceptions by going back to the biblical meaning of prayer. The first time prayer is mentioned in the Bible was in Genesis 20 where God called Abraham to pray for Abimelech (verse 17)“Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech...” We find it significant that God introduces prayer into His Word by calling on His chosen to pray for someone else. Prayer is the process where God prepares us to do His will and a method of communication to connect with God on a deeper level.
MyGen is a body of flawed people seeking to do more of God’s will and we use the most powerful tool -prayer to connect with God and His people. We want to use this tool to uplift one another in times of need as well as be there when there is no immediate need.

When you , PRAY.

I would like to submit a prayer request for the Pierre family, who suffered the loss of a beloved family member this past Monday. By God’s grace, she was able to witness her son graduate from medical school, and throughout her journey she consistently encouraged her two children to follow their dreams, persevere through challenges, and place their full trust in God.
Now, as they approach their first Thanksgiving without her physical presence, they will deeply feel her absence. I ask that God remain close to them as they grieve, bringing comfort, strength, and peace to their hearts. May the memories she created with them—and the lessons she instilled—serve as warm reminders of her love. And may the family find hope and encouragement as they reflect on the beautiful moments they shared with her.

I would like to submit a prayer request on behalf of the Juste family. They recently lost their beloved matriarch to cancer, and shortly after receiving the heartbreaking news, her son collapsed at home. He is now in the emergency room, intubated, and in a vegetative state, unaware of what is happening around him.
As a result, his wife, two daughters, and sister are facing two profound and traumatic losses at the same time, all during the Thanksgiving weekend. I am earnestly praying that God performs a mighty act of healing—restoring his consciousness and allowing him to continue being their earthly anchor. I also pray that God surrounds the entire family with comfort, strength, and peace as they navigate this season of deep grief.

Good evening,
I hope you don’t mind me reaching out to you. I’ve been reaching out to other churches for prayer. I believe prayer is powerful and that praying together multiplies that strength. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
I’m in hope that you would pray for my wife Kirsten and I. We are currently going through a separation. I’m in hope that God will provide a way for us to forgive and reconcile our marriage together and move forward in Him. I pray that He may soften hearts and work within our lives to bring us back together. That God may cover my wife while we are apart, grant her discernment and that God may reveal His truth to her. We have 2 young children Hallie and Cohen, and this has been hard on them. They need prayer aswell. My hope is that we can come back together as a family, and show our children of God’s love for them, and raise kids that know Christ.
We live in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada.
If you have a prayer meeting or prayer group you can send this too or forward the email to anyone would be obliged to pray, I’d be very forever grateful!
Warm regards,
Joel

Please pray for my husband James to have peace on his job and for the ongoing attacks on his job to stop. Please pray that his coworkers would come to know Jesus as their lord and saviour. pray for the cancellation of the enemies plan for our family and that the Lords will be done in this situation and that no weapon formed against us would prosper. Pray that the Lord would give us peace and joy that surpasses all understanding and that we would hear the Lords voice and follow him. Pray that my in-laws Jackie and Matthew would repent and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and saviour.... In Jesus Name

I’ve been running into a bit of friction with my parents in my search for a life partner and it’s been getting me down. Help us all get on the same page and keep me from having to lose any of the important people in my life.

Since making my relationship with God personal it has been hard to fully devote myself. I am trying to treat myself the way I treat others but unfortunately it does not go well. Please pray that I may understand that “treat others the way you want to be treated” is self applicable as well. Also I am in the works to have my 29th surgery and I am extremely terrified but feeling prepared. May all things work according to God’s will and not my own. Life here on earth often feels lonely but pray that although lonely is a feeling alone I shall never feel because God is always with me.
