Bonding Ministry
The challenge of living in New York City is that there are so many people to meet, yet we often feel disconnected and alone. Bonding Ministry bridges this gap by focusing on building and maintaining relationships. We seek to draw individuals into a deeper relationship first with Christ and then with each other.
The foundation of Bonding Ministry is Mark 12:29-31 which commands us to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Clearly, relationship and community are at the core of Christianity.
Connection Error
Although living in New York City is an experience unlike any other, it is difficult to connect. New York is the city that never sleeps. There is always something to do and with a population of over 8 million people, there is always someone to meet. It’s epic. It’s dynamic. It’s lively. It’s hypnotic and engaging, but this amazing city comes with its unique set of challenges. With so many people, activities and demands, it’s difficult to slow down, connect and cultivate meaningful relationships.
There are simply too many stressors and distractions. In addition, a life in constant motion hampers interaction and connection on a deeper, more meaningful level. Because fostering a relationship with God and each other beyond the surface proves to be challenging, there is a need for a ministry that is focused on building healthy, long-lasting bonds.
Bonding Ministry aspires not only to execute fun and engaging social activities, we also endeavor to create an atmosphere that challenges us to transform our character, perspective and mindset to reflect our unique identity in Christ and the character of God. Philippians 4:8 states, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” How we feel, what we do and how we speak are elements that are formulated in the mind and a broken, compromised mindset will be exhibited in broken feelings, speech, actions and most importantly a broken spirit. Our goal is to build better relationships one God centered thought at a time.
This mission is fulfilled through our Bloom Event, which celebrates our unique identity in Christ, through social events and team gatherings, which gives us the opportunity to network, and through our workshops, which are designed to help us discover our God ordained purpose and accomplish our God ordained goals.
