What does prayer mean to you? Is it a means to an end where we try to appease God to get what we want, a formality, a religious checkout, tradition, a way to avoid punishment or maybe a good luck charm?
MyGeneration Church is attempting to change those misconceptions by going back to the biblical meaning of prayer. The first time prayer is mentioned in the Bible was in Genesis 20 where God called Abraham to pray for Abimelech (verse 17)“Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech...” We find it significant that God introduces prayer into His Word by calling on His chosen to pray for someone else. Prayer is the process where God prepares us to do His will and a method of communication to connect with God on a deeper level.
MyGen is a body of flawed people seeking to do more of God’s will and we use the most powerful tool -prayer to connect with God and His people. We want to use this tool to uplift one another in times of need as well as be there when there is no immediate need.

Please pray for my success in the job search. I have an interview next week. I hope to get that job or better if God says something is better for me. Please pray that I will have faith and patience. Please also pray also for my prosperity in my entrepreneurial endeavors. I am excited about them and so grateful to be. I want to let love and excitement lead, and an unwavering belief in abundance.
