Creating Your Best Life
A long time ago in a village in central India there lived a poor farmer. On this particular day he wondered into a forest a few miles away from his home and got lost. He was so lost that he wandered around for days until he got hungry and tired. So tired was he that he fell down under a peculiar looking tree. As he fell down and lay there he thought and said to himself, "I wish I had some good food to eat, I'm so hungry!" Immediately a wonderful variety of food appeared right in front of him! Exactly like he dreamed of! Hungry people don't ask many questions and so he ate to his heart's content and was full. Then he thought and said to himself, "It sure would be nice to have some mango nectar and pineapple juice, something to drink to wash down the food". Immediately these wonderful drinks appeared! Thirsty people don't ask a lot of questions and so he drank his fill. Now that he was full he began to think to himself, "How did all this happen? There must be ghosts around here!" Immediately as he thought this horrible ghosts appeared!!! Then he thought " OH MY GOODNESS, the ghosts are going to grab me and torture me for sure!" Immediately the ghosts grabbed him and began torturing him. Then he thought "They are going to kill me for sure!" Immediately the ghosts killed him!
What the poor farmer did not know was that he had plopped down under a wishing tree. In India this is called a "kalpavriksha". Whatever he wished would happen as he wished it! The moral of this story is that your mind is in fact this kalpavriksha! Whatever you think about, meditate on, wish for, or dwell on becomes true for you, becomes your reality, and dictates your life! This is why in Philippians 4:8 the Apostle Paul admonishes us in this way:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 KJV
So I encourage you, use your wishing tree wisely! Manifest the things you want and desire by meditating on and affirming the good. Take the power away from the bad by not worrying about the bad things that may happen or that may seem to prevail! You are creating your own life so get in line with God and create something beautiful today. I guarantee you won't regret it.
