When evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love.

Shake The Block Change The World - Martin Luther King Jr
Today, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a leader, a game changer and an example to be unafraid to address difficult issues, to be a catalyst of change, and to be relentless in execution of our vision. Most importantly, he was a peacemaker who shook the system without the use of violence.

Jesus, the ultimate peacemaker challenged, confronted, questioned and facilitated change in every aspect of life, during His short time on the planet. He shook the political system and the religious system without the use of force or aggression. Ironically, from a 21st Century perspective, it seems as if anything involving peace is also accompanied by much aggression.

As followers of Christ, we have a duty to be engaged, to be involved and to make our corner of the world a better place. Like Jesus and Dr. King, we can accomplish this without using the world’s formula. At the end of our days, our legacy should be one of compassion, kindness and love. In a world filled with hate, injustice and war to be loving, kind and compassionate is, in fact, challenging the status quo.

Team MYGEN honors Dr. King’s legacy. We are relentless in executing our vision to share Christ with the world, to transform our communities and, by the work of the Holy Spirit, to set the captives free. We are unafraid to live a life pleasing to God always in all ways. This is game changing Christianity.
